A flower

are flowers friends with thorns ? thorns try to keep away those that want to pluck the flowers, starting the count down to it’s decay.

But that short period, the flower gets to see a different section of life than it’s home. It’s either a decoration at a celebration, or part of a goodbye to a lost one. It can be passed on to a beautiful person, it may get to see them smile, admiring it’s beauty. It can be a comfort to someone who’s hurt, as a reminder that someone cared enough to bring it to them.

But it can also be abandoned, go unnoticed, unappreciated, because there was a more beautiful one around,

Then it just withers away, thinking about the thorns, it’s only friends.
